The air whistled sharply as it was cut by the steel blade. Straws poured like blood out of the inanimate body of the dummy. Deep, fatal cuts were intertwined in the belly region, half of what should be the head was missing and so was the right arm. It laid on the ground next to it, sword still firmly gripped.

A few meters back a small hill of hay and rags covered the green grass. Fallen brothers of the amputee were soon to become food for the livestock. The man turned to Ceannard.

Lazy Sunday

A Lazy Sunday stroll by the lake turned into an epic adventure when Willy was attacked by an Ice Dragon near the Medieval Castle.

The days of spring were coming to an end and the hot breeze of summer was heating his already tanned face. The last Sunday of May was here and Willy wants to enjoy it and relax. He feels lazy, but a nice stroll by the lake never hurt anybody. Humming a song he heard earlier while passing by a terrace full of people, he relished the sensation of complete freedom.

Suzy and Sarah, childhood friends and colleagues at the Ministry of Happiness, were strolling down on one of the big alleys of The Last Revolution Park. The old oak trees were blooming in the spring Sun and the willow trees were already a baby green nuance, giving a sensation of hope and rebirth.

As they were descending, the noise in front turned to a subtle voice. But they couldn’t understand what was being said. It was an unknown language to them, not the one used in Rioghachad, nor in Grian. Ceartas never heard this tongue before. Maybe it was some sort of speech used only by the people of Iasgach. It was well known that a lot of towns and villages had their own dialects, aside from the official language of the Kingdom. They were remains of the old tribes that used to populate the lands before they were united to form the Great Kingdom of Rioghachad.

Captain Ceartas was in front of the group of soldiers. The moment they have been waiting for the last three months and four days has finally come. Their mission, handed to them by King Fasach himself, was about to end. By the end of the night, he and his comrades would be on their long way back to Grian with great news. They would have destroyed the greatest enemy of the Kingdom and they would be rewarded regally for the deed.

Heavy rain was falling. It was a grim day with a grey sky and still air. The sound of the drops hitting the soldier’s metal armours was the only thing heard on the streets of Fiadha. The whole city was silent like it was abandoned. But it was not the case, for as thousands of people withstood the horrible weather and stood still in the purring rain to send their fallen king to Fearann, the Kingdom of the Undying, where only the ones who made great deeds of goodness in their mortal life would be accepted.

The South used to be a fertile land. The old stories tell of a culture that thrived in agriculture, hunting and carpentry. Proud, tall men used to rule the open fields and a civilization that worshipped peace and nature more then anything populated the vast island continent.
