If you want to travel, this is a great destination for a vacation. Here are some tips and tricks about Barcelona. Capital of Catalonia, second biggest city in Spain, this is more then a city. Gaudi’s masterpiece is a can’t miss for any traveler or architecture amateur. Singing and dancing on the streets, that’s what you’ll be doing there.

Summer Sun, the Mediterranean Sea, the beach, fajitas, geometry, and a state of constant Fiesta, these are the things I think about first when I remember my trip to the capital of Catalonia, Barcelona.

This city gave me a glimpse of how life should be lived every day by everyone and I’m not exaggerating one bit! These people absolutely love life and they show it 24/7, everywhere. I’ve never been to a place where people would start an ad hoc fiesta in the middle of the street and where complete strangers would join in, dancing together, and having a great time for 15 minutes, and after that, everyone would see about their business as if nothing had just happened. That’s just crazy, but I loved it!

-Help me, sir! Please, help me! She’s dying, sir! Please, help her!- the boy was shouting desperate.

Loud laughter, a white, devilish face, the lake, a girl with blond hair, blood, a blade, kelpies, all were swirling in a whirlpool of darkness and pain.

-AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! – he shouted out the top of his lungs. He was sweating and disoriented. Pain rushed to his forehead and his vision got instantly blurry.

Ready, set, Prague!

So, I have this buddy of mine with whom I made a deal some years ago. That deal was that we would go every year on vacation to a different city around the world, no matter what. It would be our “like in the good old days” week, 7 to 9 days of just living the life and enjoying everything it has to offer without thinking about consequences. We figured that we deserved at least that much time for ourselves from a total of 365.

It was a busy day at the market in town. People were roaming all over the place and the noise made by the vendors, each shouting about whatever it was they were selling, made it almost impossible to have a decent conversation with anybody. Two women met at the exit on their way out.

Fragrance of Porto

Ahhh, the sunny coastline of the Atlantic Ocean and the sound of seagulls coming through the open window of my Airbnb flat. Now those are really good memories, I have to tell you.

The great UNESCO city of Portugal, one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever set foot in my life so far. I don’t even know where to start describing it.

Darkness, it was all he was seeing! He felt nothing, he heard nothing, he only saw darkness everywhere. Was he dead? -he asked himself in his head. Was this it? The great afterlife is just this empty and eternal void and nothing else? It couldn’t be, he told himself. It just didn’t feel right!

It was a sunny Sunday morning. A nice, cold breeze flew in thru the open window and brought with it the soft sound of little birds singing in the distance, announcing a new day!

The colorful coverlet was on the floor and the pillows were hanging in balance on the left side of the bed. The fresh air from outside filled the room and the subtle smell of burnt leaves was dissipated.

Alba Iulia, where the adventure begins

Every adventurer has his own Shire, the place from where he began his journey and the one and only part of the world that will always be home, regardless of where his path might take him.

For me, that place is Alba Iulia, a small city in the country of Romania. Yes, Romania, the country worldwide known for Dracula, Nadia Comaneci, Gica Hagi, and Nicu Ceausescu. But, unknown to many, Romania has so much more to offer. Alba Iulia is one of those things.
